136. All work carried out by a medical biology laboratory must be carried out in response to a prescription signed by a professional empowered to sign such prescription under the Act governing the professional order to which he belongs.
This section does not apply when the work was carried out in response to a request made by an institution within the meaning of the Act respecting the governance of the health and social services system (chapter G-1.021) or the Act respecting health services and social services for the Inuit and Naskapi (chapter S-4.2) and the Act respecting health services and social services for Cree Native persons (chapter S-5).
